MMXIII is an intermedia project encompassing cinema, performance, and visual art. A feature-length, experimental self-portrait sits at the center of a broad body of inquiry into cinema, light, technology, and beauty. Artwork and related gestures lend themselves to a broader exploration of image and screen-based immersion.

An experimental self-portrait, MMXIII explores phenomenological subtlety, intersections of construct and verité, and the ways in which technology, landscape, and beauty coalesce. Here, an artist's reflexive gestures investigate moving images and the nature of image construction, blurring lines between cinema, still photography, and performance art.

"A type of existence where interaction with the physical world is mediated by manufactured objects [...] Nature has been subjugated into image, but if there's any sense of loss or protest it's buried deep in the subtext." — Paul Sbrizzi, HAMMER TO NAIL
"There is a beautiful balance between [the] visual and sound design, and ideas gently emerge as to how we relate to nature, technology, and the past. Somehow in the end, I felt more story and emotion watching MMXIII than in most films I see." — Patrick Wang
