Ian Clark is a Portland, OR based artist who makes films, videos, and lens-based projects.
One of Filmmaker Magazine's "25 New Faces," his newest project A Morning Light premiered at the 2015 Torino Film Festival. Previous works have been screened at the Buenos Aires Festival Internacional de Cine Independiente, Micro-Wave Cinema Series, the Atlanta, New Orleans, and Borscht Film Festivals, among others, and online at NoBudge, Filmmaker, LA Ciné Salon and Pitchfork. As an editor, recent collaborations include Morris Hill Pictures' The Act of Becoming (CPH:DOX 2015) and Nandan Rao's upcoming work Greek Yogurt (2016).
Clark is also the Founder/Program Director of DIY non-profit Eastern Oregon Film Festival
(est. 2009), and for two years curated the program at Filmfort. He is a former member of Ditch Projects, and received his MFA in Digital Art from the University of Oregon.
He is available for short or long-term contracted projects as editor or cinematographer.
